Over 2,000 Girls Take Part in John West Féile

Congratulations to all LGFA teams who took part at the weekend in the John West Féile Peil na n-Óg Competition, hosted so fantastically by clubs in Cavan, Fermanagh and Monaghan. This weekend could not have taken place without all the host families welcoming teams into their homes. 

This year’s competition saw over 2100 girls across 92 LGFA teams taking part including six overseas teams.  226 games were played over the three days.  A special thank you to all the Féile Officials, Venue Co-ordinators and Referees who worked tirelessly to ensure schedules were adhered to throughout the weekend.

Special thanks also to Jimmy Darragh, Ulster GAA Féile Coordinator and Eileen Jones Ulster LGFA Vice President for all their organising behind the scenes to ensure a successful Féile 2017 and also to County Féile Committee Officers Mary Daly and Carol Kiernan, Cavan, Mary McEneaney, Monaghan and Rosaleen Lynch, Fermanagh.
