Attention clubs! Here's how you can make TG4 All-Ireland finals day a huge success

WE have reached the quarter-final stage in the 2018 TG4 All-Ireland senior and intermediate championships, with coveted semi-final slots up for grabs over the coming weekend.

There are also fixtures remaining in the group phase of the junior championship, before our semi-finalists are revealed.

The TG4 All-Ireland finals at Croke Park on September 16 are fast approaching and our clubs can play a vital part in ensuring that it’s another day to remember.

At the bottom of this post, you will see links to download a club letter and promotional posters, which we would ask you to discuss at your next Club Executive meeting, and also forward to all club members, especially club coaches and mentors.

The LGFA has made huge strides in recent years and last September, we welcomed a record-breaking 46,286 attendance to Croke Park for TG4 All-Ireland finals day.

Indeed, that figure was a world-record attendance for a stand-alone female sporting event in 2017.

In the club letter, we are asking all of our clubs to support our finals, and to create a tradition within your club to travel to the All-Ireland Finals annually, making it a key date within your club calendar.

That’s very much the case with the St Canice’s club in Dungiven, county Derry, who we visited recently, and who feature in this wonderful video:

We have also included a link to your Club Levy Voucher, which all clubs can use to obtain TG4 All-Ireland final tickets up to the value of €150.

Clubs have already paid this levy and so we would strongly encourage you to apply for your tickets and join us at Croke Park on Sunday, September 16.
