Big Day for Wee County Under 16s

ALL IRELAND UNDER16 B FINAL

LOUTH V TIPPERARY

Louth Under 16s play in the final of the All Ireland B Championship against Tipperary on Wednesday next, July 27th in Edenderry, Co. Offaly with a 7.00pm throw in.

Louth U16 Leinster winner

Due to their Leinster success in 2014, Louth were rated in Division One at under 16 this year and after a baptism of fire against Meath, they endured a tough season in the League. This was however a character building season for them and they proved their mettle in the knockout stages of the Leinster B Championship, when they defeated Wicklow, Longford and Westmeath to claim the Leinster B Championship. Representing Leinster, two weeks ago, they went on to defeat Tyrone in their All Ireland semi-final in a thrilling, highly entertaining match and now meet Tipperary who beat Roscommon in the other semi-final.

The players, management and Ladies Co. Board would hope, and indeed ask, that their efforts will be rewarded with a large vocal support from the various clubs within the county. The fact that the squad represents fifteen clubs within the county shows the extent of ability throughout the county and provides even more reason for clubs generally to show their support. Louth Co. Board are running buses to the match and seats can be booked by club secretaries with the organiser, Brigid Russell. Admission to the game is free for all under sixteens.

Come on the Louth Ladies, and come on everyone – Lets show them how proud we are of their success and support them on the day. An LU abu.
