Down and Cavan Ready for Semi Final

The first TG4 Intermediate semi-final takes place this Saturday in Kingspan Breffni Park throwing in at 2:15pm.

The Division 3 League champions, Down will once again look to the leadership of Sinead and Orla Fegan along the left flank along with a strong midfield parnership of Clara Fitzpatrick and Meghan Doherty who will be expected to win posession for goal machine, Kyla Trainor.

Cavan suffered defeat to Down in the Ulster Championship but they have since been mightily impressive especially in their Quarter Final beating of last year’s runners up, Waterford. Much will be expected from Bronagh Sheridan and Aisling Doonan in the full forward line whilst Donna English and Rosie Crowe provide the leadership from midfield, Grainne McGlade will have to be on her toes to deal with the threat of Kyla Trainor.
