Want to Rock and Run in aid of Climb4Clare? We are inviting you to join us as we partake in the Dublin Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon to help raise money for this great cause. This is a fundraiser with a difference as rock bands and DJ’s will belt out plenty of great tunes along the route to give you the extra boost you need as you take on the course.
At this time of year many people are looking for ways to get fit and active for their Summer. What better and more unique way than to get involved in the Dublin Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon? The LGFA have combined forces to get involved with this special event for anyone that wants to raise money for Climb4Clare and you can also raise money for your club or county at the same time!
On Sunday, August 13th you are invited to raise money for Climb4Clare by signing up to this exciting event in Dublin. The events include a half marathon, 10km, 5km or just a fun run! Music every mile makes up the heart of this event with live bands and DJs playing a variety of music from alternative to classic rock, punk, funk and blues to jazz it up. The bands set the tempo for the course, where runners and spectators alike will be dancing in the streets to these mini-concerts. There is also a Finish Festival and Concert so it is sure to be a brilliant day for everyone involved.
Full details of the event are available at http://www.runrocknroll.com/dublin and the costs range from €40 for the half marathon to €10 for the fun run. All we ask is that you either complete a sponsor card thereafter or set up a fundraising page at https://www.idonate.ie/climb4clare to raise money for this brilliant cause.
So what do you need to do next?
Follow the steps attached and sign up your details or your members details to get involved. Remember you also have the option of raising 50% for Climb4Clare and 50% for your club or county so this could be a real fun fundraiser for the year!
Please note that this is a Rock ‘n’ Roll organised activity and not organised by LGFA. Participants will not be covered under the LGFA Injury Fund.
Let’s take this opportunity to make this a great day and get your club or county involved. Climb4Clare has made amazing progress and the CLIMB Programme will be available in 33 centres and hospitals from May which could not happen without your support. There is always a hope that a cancer diagnosis will not come to your club but a CLIMB Programme in your area can really assist the children of all families involved.
