Dromore 4-9
Fr Rocks 3-5

The West is very much awake as Dromore made it two titles from two for Western clubs as this weekend of Time Venue Finals continue. Orla O’Neill was superb as she hit a hatrick of goals while Emma Smith rattled over 0-6 as Dromore edged out a battling Cookstown who threw everything at the St Dympna’s in a a frantic closing spell. It finished 4-9 to 3-5 with a late Dromore goal from Shaunna McNabb ending any hopes of a Fr Rocks comeback. After trailing 2-3 to 0-1 Fr Rocks had rallied in the first half with Laura McGillion and Aoibhinn Devlin goals closing the tie to a one point game at the break, Margaret Conway ans Smith exchanging points.
Devlin turned the game on it’s head seconds after the restart, her goal after good work from Mairead Conway and Mairead Mullan gave the Fr Rocks a two point lead, that though turned out to be their only second half score as Dromore piled on the agony.
O’Neill grabbed her third as Mac Rory, Smith and Donnelly added points in turn the defence never let the Cookstown side in. A late goal from McNabb after Dromore had hit the post three times eased any worries with Fr Rocks pressing and also hitting the woodwork in the dying minutes. In the end Dromore claimed the win and the Brenda Logue cup was heading West again.
