Juliet Murphy to Coach TEACHers

Juliet Murphy- Importance of Teachers

Teachers play a key role in developing a love of our game for young girls that could last a lifetime. The LGFA are delighted to announce that we will be organising a series of re-launched TEACH Workshops for teachers over the month of November this year which will then be available for counties to book also.

We have teamed up with former multiple All Ireland winner and teacher Juliet Murphy to assist with the delivery of the workshops so do not miss out on this opportunity.

What is the TEACH Workshop?

  • 2 ½ hour workshop for all teachers, both primary and post primary
  • Aimed at teachers interested in setting up or currently involved with helping or coaching Gaelic Football in school
  • Will assist teachers with school teams or including Gaelic Football as part of their PE lesson
  • Provides training and support to teachers, who impart valuable coaching services to many of our players or potential players
  • Top quality coaching resources provided to all participants

The great thing about this workshop is that it was designed by teachers for teachers and therefore no previous background in Gaelic Games is required!

‘The workshop will assist teachers to acquire further knowledge on how to teach the skills associated with ladies football in a fun way that enhances all aspects of a child’s development such as participation, skill acquisition, motivation, movement, cross motor skills, team work, cooperation and self-confidence to name a few’.
