Kerry Ladies Junior C Final

Currow 5-11 Legion 1-3

Currow brought down the curtain on the Kerry ladies football club season with a comfortable win over Legion played at Legion on Sunday.

Currow had the damage done by half time and lead 4-5 to 0-3 but Legion pride proved a dangerous beast as the younger girls of the Legion battled well in the second half and were unlucky not to have added a lot more to the score line by full whistle.

Indeed both teams were a total contrast as Currow proved the more experienced and ended a long wait for a county title included all of their County O/25 winning team while Legion relied on their younger team 12 of whom were minors. So as the storm winds rained in over Killarney both sides can be happy to take away something from the match.

For Currow it was a fitting end to a team of girls that have given so much to their club and no doubt Sean O’Sullivan and Paudie Breen would have a seen a team in the making and will prove difficult to beat in Division 4 next year.
