Latest News from Roscommon

St Mary’s go for Connacht glory:

All roads lead to Ballintubber (St Croans) on Saturday next where Tulsk based St Mary’s fly the Roscommon flag as the take on Galway champions Tuam/Cortoon in the Connacht Junior championship final at 3pm.

St Mary’s have been in super form this winter with wins over Leitrim and Mayo representatives already. We wish them well in the bid for provincial glory. Please come along and support the girls.

Development Update:

A big thank you to all who supported our monster table quiz on Friday last which took place in Kilbride community center. Proceeds from this night will go a long way towards the running costs of all our development squads, so your support is appreciated.

Next up then after the quiz will be our official launch of new development structure which I can now confirm will take place on the 5th November in the Abbey Hotel Roscomon. Special guests will be in attendance on a night not to be missed. So please keep an eye on our social media sights for more information.

Powerful Clann make it six in a row:

The first silverware of the winter was handed out on Sunday last when Clann nan Gael captured the Joe Simons builders providers Boyle sponsored Division 1 A title for an incredible sixth year in a row when the defeated St Dominins on a score-line of 8-18 to 0-11 in Ballyforan. This is an unbelievable achievement for the Johnstown girls and they now go on to represent their county in Connacht when they take on the Leitrim Champions in the provincial semi-final on the 26th November in Johnstown. We wish them well. A full match report appears elsewhere in this publication.
