Level 1 coaching course in Munster – a great success

Munster Ladies football last week hosted their second Level 1 coaching course of the summer.

On this occasion 11 eager coaches from clubs in Cork and Tipperary travelled to Sean Tracey Park in Tipperary town to be put through their paces by Tutor Mike Myers.

On the day the coaches addressed areas such as the role of the coach in terms of the many different titles the coach may have during their involvement in ladies football, for example motivator and facilitator. They also looked at the importance of the player pathway in the development of players of all ages and how it may fit into their own club structure. Goal setting and adaptation of drills for Ladies football filled much of the afternoon session but it was the team building activities that really challenged the coaches. As the pictures show many of the coaches had to put their trust in others to get through tasks and in other cases they all had to work together to get through some of the games.

This course was extremely successful and these coaches now return to their clubs to complete a coaches logbook prior to Day 2 on October 1st.

Many thanks to Mike Myers for his work on the day and to those involved with Sean Tracey Park for the use of their facilities and more importantly to the coaches who took time out to attend the course.
