McAnespie is Croke Park Player of the Month

Ciara McAnespie was today honoured with the Croke Park Player of the Month Award for June after leading her Monaghan team to the TG4 Ulster title.

McAnespie was a key performer throughout their victories over both Armagh and Cavan as Monaghan came from a low ebb following an underwhelming Lidl NFL campaign to produce two wonderful performances to reclaim the Ulster crown they had last held in 2013.

Ciara captained her county to this famous victory and produced some of the scintillating form that made her an All Star. Ciara and Monaghan will have a a quarter final date later this Summer when they meet the winner of the match between Kerry and the winner of the Armagh and Waterford.
