Munster U-14 B Final

Munster U-14 B Final

Date: Saturday May 3rd
Venue: Coolmen
Time: 1.00pm
Clare .v. Tipperary

After the thrilling win over the Tipperary minors on Saturday last the Clare U-14’s will be hoping for something similar when they face up to their Premier county counterparts in Coolmeen on Saturday.

Despite having home advantage Clare will be very much the underdogs for this game having suffered defeat to Tipperary in the round robin stages of the competition. Clare hopefully will have learned in the intervening period and despite having suffered a major beating from Cork, have everything to play for on Saturday.

Many of the girls playing in Coolmeen will have had the advantage of playing in the Clare Féile finals series held recently so hopefully the likes of Niki Kaiser, Clodagh Lawlor, Laura McMahon (Newmarket), Shauna Crowley, Emma Glynn and Rebecca Culligan (Banner Ladies), Eva Clohessey (Fergus Rovers) and Clodagh Shortiss (Wolfe Tones) will be able to raise their games even further. Sarah O’Keeffe (Doora-Barefield) and Aisling Torpey (Liscannor) are others to look out for as well as Shauna Harvey (West Clare Gaels) and Aisling Corbett (Clooney-Quin).

The one cloud over the Clare side is the absence of the diminutive but excellent Roisín Howley of Burren Gaels. Roisín is currently in hospital recovering from a recent illness and all in the panel wish her a speedy recovery.
