All Ireland Club 7's Produce Incredible drama

There were joyous scenes at the sounding of the final whistle in the All Ireland Club 7’s final as Emyvale from Monaghan ended a long wait for glory in the 7’s competition. The team that was backboned by the McAnespie’s and the McNally’s claimed the most dramatic of victories over defending champions Kilkerrin Clonberne after extra time.

The outpouring of emotion was wonderful as the new champions ended a long wait for glory, indeed these scenes were replicated around the fantastic grounds of Naomh Mearnog and St. Sylvester’s as new champions were crowned in the Senior, Intermediate and Junior grades.

Kiltubrid from Leitrim were popular winners of the Senior shield competition as they edged out Foxrock Cabinteely in a very competitive final on a scoreline of 3-09 to 6-05 with county star Áine Tighe leading the way for the Westerners.

Wicklow tasted glory through the victory of Baltinglass in the Intermediate Cup Final as they overcame St. Ailbe’s in a very entertaining tussle in the Intermediate Championship Final. It was an all Galway Intermediate shield final that saw Glenamaddy/Williamstown produce a strong performance to beat Milltown in the final.

In the Junior Grade Moycullen from Galway were winners by only 2 points after a brilliant match that required extra time to seperate them from Kerrys Austin Stack’s. Mostrim also brought silverwear back to Longford as they were too strong for Castleknock in the Junior Shield final. For a full list of results click on the link below:
