Claddagh Gaels Launch first Youth Camp

Claddagh Gaels LGFC will be launching their first youth camp for girls interested in playing Ladies Gaelic Football with the opportunity to continue playing for the Claddagh Gaels youth squad after the 6 week course.

 

Funded by Team Beds & Luton through the Sportivate scheme, the youth camp will be for girls aged 11 – 18 interested in playing a fun and challenging sport which is completely new to them. It will run weekly from Wednesday 21^st January until 25^th February 7pm – 8pm at Cardinal Newman Catholic School.

 

Young participants will learn the basic skills needed to play the native Irish sport with a team of qualified coaches and Claddagh youth assistants through a range of fun and educational techniques.

Tara Lynch, the youth camp coordinator, said “This is a great opportunity for girls to learn a sport new to them, meet new people and have a lot of fun. We have a fantastic 6 weeks planned and we really look forward to training our future Claddagh Gaels!”
