Derry Ladies ready for All Ireland Semi Final

Derry Ladies ready for All Ireland Semi Final
This Sunday (31st August) could be a historic day for Derry Ladies Gaelic Football,
with the prize being a place in an All Ireland Final at Croke Park, which no previous Derry Ladies team has ever achieved. Standing in the way of the Derry squad’s dream day at Croke are Antrim in this Sundays semi final (3pm venue tbc).
The last encounter of these two teams was for the Ulster Junior title on Sat 28th June with Derry the victors with a final score of Derry 1-13 v Antrim 2-8.
The management and teams of both neighbouring counties will know from previous encounters that this game will be a hard fought battle and with such a major prize at stake it will take more than fitness and skill, because it’s in games like these that heart, sole and commitment from every player for every minute will finally decide who gets a place in the final. Derry County Board would like to take this opportunity to wish the Derry Team and Management every success in their semi final and also to encourage as much support as possible for the Derry Team. As the venue is still to be confirmed supporters are asked to check Aertel page 242 mid week for venue. Hopefully with all our support our girls can return the favour with a win and an invite to Croke Park for the All Ireland Final.
