Speaking about the awards LGFA president Pat Quill said ‘The TESCO Club Person of the Year awards give recognition to those people that are so important to clubs in the country. They do everything from fundraising to tea making to jersey washing and beyond. So much focus is given to the action on the field but without these people there would not be any matches at all. I would like to thank TESCO who continue to support this award and for their recognition of the importance of volunteers around the country. I would like to congratulate Dawn, Mary, Aileen and Erin all of whom are extremely worthy winners of this award. I would like to congratulate Erin on winning the overall TESCO Club Person of the Year Award, she is a real inspiration to everyone in her club, community and county and is someone who is vital for her club.’
