To what heights will you go to celebrate the strength of women?

Plan International Ireland is offering the unique opportunity of abseiling 150ft from the roof of the Hogan Stand in Croke Park on March 10th to mark International Women’s day.

Plan International Ireland Ambassador, Maria Walsh will be leading teams and dares all to join her.

The former Rose of Tralee said, “What better way to celebrate International Women’s Day than hanging almost 150ft from the roof of Croke Park! I have seen first-hand Plan International’s work with women and girls in the developing world and I am willing to go to great heights (literally) to raise vital funds for their work. I hope I will have a lot of brave and daring men and women who will join me on 10th March so we can celebrate the strength of women!”

Proceeds from this event will raise vital funds for Plan International’s work with girls in the developing world including breaking the barriers to girls’ empowerment such as child marriage, forced labour, sexual violence, early pregnancy and denial of education.

The abseils will be guided by adventure.ie, and will run throughout the day. Each person will be allocated a time slot.

It doesn’t matter if you’re an abseil novice or a pro, guides from outdoor event experts from adventure.ie will be ensuring your safety and making sure you are having fun at the same time.

If you would like to sign up for the Croke Park Abseil or to find out more information see www.plan.ie
