DUBLIN champions Ballyboden St Enda’s scored a dramatic
injury time point to beat Meath rivals Seneschalstown in the Vhi
Healthcare Leinster ladies senior football championship final at
Clane yesterday, 2-12 to 1-14.

Super sub Teresa Molohan hit the decisive point four minutes into
injury time to secure a fifth Leinster title in six years for Ballyboden.

It was heartbreak for Seneschalstown though after they had staged
an impressive second half comeback after trailing by six points
at the break, 0-7 to 2-7.

Ballyboden’s two first half goals came courtesy of Sarah Denvir
and Louise Kelly while Seneschalstown’s second half strike came
from Mary Sheridan.

The Meath side outscored Ballyboden 1-7 to 0-5 in the second half
and it appeared a draw was on the cards until Molohan’s last gasp
effort which grabbed the victory for the Firhouse outfit.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, Cork side Donoughmore once again triumphed
in the Munster ladies senior football championship following a low
scoring win over Waterford’s Ballymacarbry in Midleton, 0-9 to 0-4.

It means that two mouth watering All-Ireland semi-finals have been
set up with Donoughmore meeting Carnacon in a Cork versus Mayo battle
while Ballyboden will meet three in a row Ulster champions Donaghmoyne
of Monaghan.

Elsewhere, Dublin side Naomh Mearnog have qualified for the semi-finals
of the All-Ireland intermediate championship following a 4-13 to
2-5 victory over Sligo’s Geevagh at Portmarnock.

It was a good weekend for Leinster teams as Kildare’s Eadestown
accounted for Galway’s Tuam/Cortoon in their All-Ireland junior

quarter-final tie at Eadestown, 2-9 to 0-9.
