Dublin were pushed all the way by Laois on Saturday last in the first of theTG4 all Ireland Senior semi finals, the game was played in Dr. Cullen Park, Carlow, in what were ideal conditions. Laois dominated for long periods through out the game, particularly in the second half, and with less than seven minutes remaining it looked as through the O’Moore side had earned their place in this years senior final, however, the girls from the capital rose from the ash’s when Lynsey Davey fired home the

Wexford 0-8 Limerick 1-11

Wexford did get a foothold in the game in the second period, but they were unable to convert their dominance in to scores. great credit must go to Maeve Quill,
Quill was moved on to O’Brien, and the Shelmaliers club player kept the Limerick forward reduced to just two points, one from a free. Unfortunately for Wexford, O’Brien’s supply line in the first half was not cut off until the damage was done.
While Limerick march on to the final, its back to the drawing board for Wexford, however the future is looking bright in the Model county, with their U14’s and Minors collecting all Ireland titles this season.

Derry battled to get back into the game but a Kate Flood goal three minute from the end of the first period had Louth very much in command with a 3-6 to 0-5 lead at the break.
Derry battled hard to pare Louth’s lead back to just four points 3-7 to 1-9, however points from Anne Marie Murphy and Catherine Page ,kept Louth were fully focused on the winning line, and despite a late Derry goal, from a penalty, Louth held out to claim a deserved three point victory.
On Saturday last Louth bridged a twelve year gap since they last contested an All-Ireland Junior Championship Final, that was way back in 1998, when they defeated Roscommon. On the September the 26th next they face last years beaten finalists Limerick, in what should be exciting contest.
