TG4 All Ireland Championship Round 1 Qualifiers Drawn

The draw for the Round 1 Qualifiers of the TG4 All Ireland Championships took place today as part of the 2013 TG4 Championship Launch. The draw was performed by LGFA President, Pat Quill and TG4 Ard Stiurthoir, Pol O Gallchoir.

The Intermediate draw took place first with the 5 teams; Antrim, Leitrim, Wicklow, Limerick and Cavan taking their place in the bowl. Antrim were drawn out first and they will play Leitrim in Round 1 with Wicklow, Limerick and Cavan receiving a bye to Round 2 where they will be drawn to face the 4 provincial runners up.

On the senior side of things Armagh and Laois both received a bye straight into the Round 2 draw. Westmeath will meet Donegal and Clare will take on Kildare in Round 1 with both sides going through to join Armagh and Laois where they will be drawn to face the beaten provincial finalists.

All games will take place on the 27th of July at neutral venues to be confirmed. In the event of a draw extra time will be played.
