Speaking about the TG4 Ladies Football All Star tour, LGFA President, Pat Quill, said ‘the All Star Tour is a great opportunity for the players and managers and also for the sport of Ladies Gaelic Football. Two years ago we took the All Star tour to Toronto where we left a great legacy and a sport in rude health with at least one new club formed in the wake of our visit. Hong Kong GAA Club have really embraced the tour and are very excited about the prospect of hosting our players and making a mark for the Ladies game in Hong Kong. I would like to thank our sponsors, TG4 without who this tour could not happen.’

The 2012 All Star team will travel as selected with the 2013 team showing 7 changes as 7 players were selected in both years. The 2012 selection will be managed by Kerry manager, William O’Sullivan with the 2013 selection managed by legendary Cork manager, Eamonn Ryan with the refereeing duties falling to Sligo’s John Niland.
