Weekend double for Donegal ladies

Donegal girls continued there impressive run again in Milford against Down. The U16’s were out first and `their task in a very professional manner with the scores at half time Donegal 1-6 Down 0-2 .Donegal girls on the score sheet were Niamh Mc Laughlin, Lorraine Molloy, Tanya Kennedy,Alana Mc Donald a point each , then Ciara Grant got a very well delivered goal and points from Lorraine Molloy and Geraldine Mc Laughlin.Down’s two points were scored by Sinead Mc Namee, and Emily Brown.

In the second half Donegal were even more clinical two goals from Geraldine Mc Laughlin, and one from Aisling Mc Callian,and points from Ciara Grant, and five in succession from Niamh Mc Laughlin.Down’s four points came from Erin Robinson two , one from a free and a point each from Sinead Mc Namee, and Emma Drainey. Donegal brought on three subs Catherine Boyle ,Mairead Walsh, and Emma Mc Grory to replace Kayla Farren, Alana mc Donald and Lorraine Molloy.

Final score Donegal 4-12 Down 0–6.

The Minors carried on where the U16’s left off to go in at half time winning by Donegal 2–8 Down 0–3. Geraldine Mc Laughlin scored with two frees followed by a point from Eilish Ward, a goal from Roisin Mc Donald and points from Eilish Ward, Roisin Friel,Eilish Ward again and another from a Geraldine Mc Laughlin a free,and a point from Niamh Friel and a goal from Eilish Ward. Down scores came from Natasha Lennon a free, Roisin Torney from play and a free from Lorraine Havern a free. Donegal kept up the pressure with points from Niamh Mc Laughlin, and Lorraine Malarky, a goal and a point from Geraldine Mc Laughlin, Roisin Mc Donald with another goal,and points from Niamh Mc Laughlin , Rachael Crawford, and Ciara Hegarty. Caroline Kelly , Emma Mc Grory, and Rachael Crawford replaced Dearbhaille Mc Neill,Kate Keaney, and Geraldine Mc Laughlin.
