St Mary’s Too Strong For Glenamaddy

St Mary’s, Newry 3-10 Glenamaddy, C.S. Galway 1-9

St Mary’s of Newry showed their pedigree as they gave an awesome display to claim the Pat the Baker Post Primary Schools Junior B Post title in Pairc Sean today.

Early goals from Coleen Lennon and Ciara Kearns helped the Newry school on their way and Lorraine Havern added a third before the interval to break Glenamaddy hearts. A goal before half time by Glenamaddy’s Hannah Dolan put a gloss on the half time score but Glenamaddy had a mountain to climb in the second half.

In the second half, the impressive St Mary’s went in to cruise control with further scores from Jolene O’Hare and Niamh Tumilty. St Mary’s Natasha Lennon, who contributed two points to her team’s scoreline was the Player of the Match.
