Roscommon Notes 26.01.2015

All praise goes to St. Croans Junior B ladies team who defeated St. Marys of Tulsk in the Percy French sponsored County final in Mulhern Park on Saturday last. Led out by their captain Karla Collins, the Croans girls laid down their marker from the start when they opened the scoring with a point in the first minute of the game.  Croans held the upper hand for most of the first half with Tulsk chalking up their scores from frees.  However Tulsk managed to find the back of the Croans net just at the half time whistle and went in at half time 1  –  4  to Croans 4 points.  Croans hit the ground running in the second half when Richael Timothy rattled the back of the Tulsk net.  Tulsk managed just one point in the second half but the day belonged to St. Croans ladies who went on to claim a further goal and 4 points to finish on a  final score St. Croans 2  8 Tulsk 1  5.  Well done to the girls who put in a very long season of training and to the management team,  Miko Kenny, Karl Malone  and Rosaleen Reilly Timothy.  Well done to Richael Timothy who was crowned Player of the Match.  Panel; Karla Collins, Sinead Kenny(0  1), Diane Kenny, Olga Kenny, Grainne Tarmey, Aisling Tarmey, Aine Ward, Richel Timothy(1  7), Shauna Ward, Aoife Collins, Sharon Ryan(1  0), Sinead Tiernan, Ruth Finan, Leah Malone  Geniveive Mc Cormack,  Amy Keegan, Clare Keegan, Ava Glancy, Emma Glancy, Elle Coen
