St. Dominic's Notes

The U14s played their first game in the U14 Championship on Sunday 17^th August at home against Padraig Pearses. The last time these two sides met was in the Division 1A County Final last October where Dominic’s took the title with a 3 point margin.  In Sunday’s duel Dominic’s were in the lead throughout but a strong fight back by Pearses in the final quarter narrowed the margin but wasn’t enough to alter the outcome. The game ended Dominic’s 7-11 to Pearses 4-07. St. Dominic’s next game in the U14 Championship is at home against St. Faithleachs on Tuesday, 26^st August.

The U12s travelled to Carrick on Shannon on Tuesday last to take on Shannon Gaels as part of the U12 Summer Series. St. Dominic’s final game in this series is at home against Clann na nGael on Thursday, 21^st August.

The U8s & U10s played Padraig Pearses at home on Friday 15^th August. There was a great turnout of girls from these panels and they all played superbly. Their next games are on Monday 18^th August away to St. Brigids.

Congratulations and well done to St. Dominic’s Junior Camogie team and the boys U14 Football team who won their respective County Finals on Friday last.
