St. Nathy's Weekly Notes

Our adopted Little King of Nathys, Rioghnán Flanagan has returned home from Hospital and is doing well. The club would like to wish Connor, Etna and their girls all the best with their baby son & brother.

St. Nathys are having their annual Table Quiz on Friday the 9th of September in the Knock na Shee Inn, Lavagh starting at 9.30pm. It promises to be a night of good craic, so please help support our club.

The U14’s Championship commenced on Monday last 22nd August against Eastern Harps. From start to finish it was a very tight game but at the final whistle our girls were defeated by 2 points. The next opponents are away to Calry and the following Monday again away to Geevagh.

After the defeat in the Connacht League the Seniors had to quickly pick up the pieces with a championship game against Tourlestrane on Sunday last. With a score line of 3.12 (St. Nathys) and 2.4 (Tourlestrane) it would seem like a convincing win for the Nathys girls but the girls made hard work for themselves. They had to contend with the young, fast players of Tourlestrane to scrape through a victory. This win puts them in the Championship final on 17th September against Geevagh.

St. Nathys have entered a competition and need your help!!!! Club Crusade- sponsored by Lucozade Sport. We have to collect as many Lucozade Sport Bottle Caps as we can – the club who collects the most from their group will win €10,000. For clubs who don’t but collect at least 400 caps will be entered into a draw to win €5,000. Please help us by collecting Lucozade Sport bottle caps and give them to any member or player of the club.
