Speaking at the ‘TESCO Homegrown Teams of the League in Association with the Irish Daily Star’ announcement the LGFA President, Pat Quill, said ‘The TESCO Homegrown National Football Leagues provided us with some great moments again in 2013. There are plenty of examples of individual performances in all 4 divisions and it is great that all of the players, throughout all of the divisions, are recognised on this stage. The Team’s of the League awards are unique as it is the management of the opposition team that nominates players meaning that it is the best measure of the ability of a player and the impact of their performances.’

Lynn Moynihan, Local Marketing Manager of Tesco Ireland, said, “I would like to offer my congratulations to all the players who made it on to the Tesco HomeGrown Teams of the League, it is a great honour for them to be selected and a true mark of their commitment to Ladies Gaelic Football. Tesco HomeGrown already enjoy an excellent relationship with Ladies Gaelic Football and are proud to sponsor the 2013 Tesco HomeGrown National Football Leagues, one of the premier national competitions in the Ladies Gaelic football sporting calendar”.
