Tyrone gain Hunky Dory new Sponsors

Tyrone ladies GFA have confirmed the support of Hunky Dorys (Largo foods) as their new kit sponsor for both senior and minor squads for the forthcoming season. The news comes as Tyrone’s ladies footballers  prepare to open their national league campaign, the move will now also see the crisp manufacturer sponsor all aspects of gaelic games in the county.

The deal comes after the loss of  sponsorship  from Target Express  last year  but will certainly be a boost to the ladies who under new manager Michael Rea are focused on reaffirming Tyrone as a force again. The counties senior fortunes have stuttered in recent years but the minors reached the all-Ireland decider last year and the potential for success in both squads is evident.

Confirming the deal, quite aptly at the new Garvaghey complex, the home of all Tyrone gaelic games, Largo foods  CEO Ray Coyle  and Northern manager Martin McClinton welcomed the ladies to the overall sponsorship package outlined last November. Speaking at the launch Tyrone ladies chairman Martin Conway  joined by his counterpart from the main county board Ciaran McLaughlin, said he was delighted to have the support of Hunky Dorys,

This is another milestone for Tyrone ladies football, we are happy to have the support of Hunky Dorys and its great that once again we, in Tyrone gaelic games are all together with the one sponsor, I thank  those who done the hard work behind the scenes to firstly secure the overall deal with Hunky Dorys and of course  seal their support of ladies football in the county”

The Tyrone ladies senior and minor squads will wear the same design of shirt that the counties men’s teams in football and hurling will wear, the kits produced by O’Neills International sportswear, again highlighting the integration that all Tyrone gaels enjoy.

Tyrone’s first outing in the new Hunky Dorys strip will be against Mayo in the national league at the start of February.  The senior squad are in training ahead of the new season while the county minor squad is currently being trialled.
