Carrickmore remain top of the senior league unbeaten now in four games and look very much the form team of the moment as the championship approaches. At the weekend the holders had ten points to spare over Cil Iseal while Aodh Ruadh got their third win of the campaign with an eleven goal haul over St Dympnas who remain on three points. The An Charraig Mhor Aodh Ruadh fixture this weekend is by far the game of the weekend while St Macartans who beat Ardboe comfortably at home go to Cil Iseal. Errigal Ciaran could do with a win as they play Ardboe while Glenelly play St Dympnas

In the Intermediate league Trillicks unbeaten run came to an end as Cappagh went top of the table with a goal between the sides at Ballinamullan last Saturday in a very entertaining clash in perfect conditions.

The second tier is close with Cappagh on ten points, Trillick on nine and Omagh on seven after a good win at Fr Rocks last weekend, Beragh, Fr Rocks and Clan Na Gael are all on six points ahead of some cracking fixtures this Saturday and Sunday. Trillick host Moy, Cappagh meet Clan Na Gael while Aghyaran who got their first win of the season last time out come to St Endas.

Loughmacrory and Sperrin Og played out a thriller at the weekend with Lough maintaining there unbeaten record thanks to a one point victory, Donaghmore and Sperrin Og are also still very much in the title chase, Loughmacrory play Kildress, the Greencastle girls go to Badoney while Donaghmore face Sigersons , the Strabane side lost to Drumragh,

The Tyrone minor football championship semi finals are pencilled in for Friday evening across the county,Errigal Ciaran and St Macartans booked their places in the last four on Monday night. The second Under ten blitzs of the season go ahead this Saturday.

The countys under 14s created a small piece of history at the weekend when they beat Down 18-23 to 1-2 in the Ulster championship. A record breaking win by a Tyrone underage team in the Ulster series. The under 16s opened their campaign against Monaghan in Emyvale on Tuesday night and also racked up a big score, winning 10-12 to 0-11. In the Ulster Minor A Championship Tyrone suffered a heavy loss at Donegal Donegal 5.10 Tyrone 2.06

The Owen Roes club in North Tyrone will be hosting a quiz in their clubrooms on Friday 13th May to raise funds for the Tyrone Ladies U14 development squad. The quiz starts at 10pm and is open to teams of whatever number, and costs a mere £2 per person.
