Video: Flaherty Proud to be Named Galway Captain

Emer Flaherty has been named as the new Galway captain for 2017 and she is relishing the challenge

The double All Star and former All Ireland winner will now lead a 39-strong panel into the last two League games against Cork and Dublin.

‘It’s an honour of course’, says Emer. ‘I was delighted to accept and we’ll take the Cork game like any other game. It’s always a huge challenge and we’ll look for a good performance’.

Cork and Galway top Division One on twelve points each.
