Watty Grahams Glen Ladies put in another great performance. Monday 28th at Glen pitch, the Glen Ladies showed again the style of football that keeps them number one in the county. In a game that run quite a bit over time due to injuries, Glen Ladies came out well on top beating Ardtrea with a score line of Glen 6-16 to Ardtrea 0-6. Ardtrea got off to a good start taking the first point of the game but their lead was short lived. Mary (head the ball) Ryan opened Glens tally with their first point and goal. Also on the scoring sheet with a goal and two points for Glen was newly appointed captain for this season Michelle McAteer, but top scorer of the night goes to Louise Glass with four goals and a point. Kathy Conway also put in a great performance for Glen kicking a well earned eight points. Of course you cant score without the ball and a lot of credit should go to the Glen backs, not only for winning their kick outs but also blocking, intercepting and working the ball up field with some good displays of tight hand passing and support play. Glens next game will be Monday the 12th May (due to bank holiday on the 5th ) when they will play away to Doire Colmcille. All support welcome.
