Applications Open for Learn to Lead Female Leadership Programme

THE Ladies Gaelic Football Association launched the ‘Learn to Lead’ Programme in February 2019– a unique Female Leadership programme.

 

The LGFA Leadership Programme was devised to develop the next generation of female leaders within Ladies Gaelic Football.

 

The course was delivered over 12 months by experts in the fields of coaching, officiating, administration/governance and PR/Media.

 

20 participants were chosen in to participate in the first ever ‘Learn to Lead’, and the response to the LGFA’s recruitment phase was phenomenal. In 2021 we rolled out the programme for a second time with 24 participants involved across the four strands and the 2023-24 Programme witnessed another 24 people graduating. Feedback from Learn to Lead has been exceptional.

 

 

Over four days, and six evenings, the LGFA will examine diverse leadership skills and focus on the skill-sets and techniques required to master each of the four strands – coaching, officiating, administration/governance and PR/Media.

 

Six candidates will be selected to participate in each strand – and the final list of 24 includes leading coaches, officials, administrators and players, representing the four provinces.
