Bronagh O’Donnell Irish Independent/Lucozade Sport Player of the Month for August Armagh’s Bronagh O’Donnell has been named the Irish Independent/Lucozade Sport Player of the Month for September. The Orchard Ladies captain has led her side by example, putting in a sterling display against last year’s beaten All Ireland Finalists Galway in their semi-final clash in Hyde Park earlier this month. An All Star in 2005, O’Donnell led her Armagh side to victory in the Junior All Ireland Championship and has brought her county to the Senior Final just 12 months later. Her twin sister Alma has also been one of the stalwarts on the successful Armagh team this year. O’Donnell, an audiologist based in Belfast but originally from Crossmaglen, was delighted to receive the Irish Independent/Lucozade Sport Player of the Month Award for September. “It’s unbelievable, we make it to the All Ireland Final and then I get nominated for this award. I’m thrilled, simply delighted. This has been a fantastic year for Armagh and in many ways I am receiving this award because of the performances of those around me.” Share this Article 0 0
