Claire O'Hara and Helena Lohan to appear on TG4 cookery series

In this new series, Captain of the ladies Mayo football team, Claire O Hara wants to kick start the football season the healthy way. Claire along with teammate Helena Lohan hosts a get together for the Mayo team with a helping hand from our chef Máirtín Mac Con Iomaire.

“Aingeal sa Chistin” is a six-part lifestyle cookery series that follows our chef Máirtín as he travels the length and breadth of Ireland helping guests organise that special event in their lives.

Well we have the ideal person, Máirtín Mac Con Iomaire, the professional chef who has worked in top restaurants all over the world before becoming a full-time lecturer in D.I.T. The guests appearing on the show for this season are… Bernie Ní Fhlatharta, Greg Ó Braonáin, Yvonne Laffey Melo, Máirín Fahy, Ruairí Ó Conchúir, Claire O’Hara agus Helena Lohan.

Máirtín is currently researching ‘The influence of French Haute Cuisine on the Emergence and Development of Dublin Restaurants 1900 – 2000: an Oral History’ for his PhD in the Dublin Institute of Technology. His Areas of interest include mentoring, Irish food history and customs, oenology, education, ethnic cookery and ballad / traditional ‘sean-nós’ singing.
