At the TG4 All Ireland Finals the LGFA and the Irish Cancer Society announced that they would come together to raise money for the roll out of the CLIMB® Services at Cancer Centres across Ireland. The joint fundraising initiative was launched at the TG4 All Ireland Final and has already begun to generate great interest from Ladies Gaelic members and from the general public. The Monaghan Senior Ladies squad will raise money for the initiative when the squad climb Croagh Patrick on October 11th whilst the Tyrone Ladies will also be hosting walks to raise money for the cause. Also, Wexford claimed the TG4 Junior All Ireland Final at Croke Park and at their victory banquet the players raised €675 for Climb4Clare whilst the Na Fianna Club in Dublin held the first Climb4Clare walk earlier this month to raise funds for this great initiative. More and more clubs and counties are getting involved to raise money for this superb cause along with those named above. Clubs can also raise money by organising a Climb4Clare where they get to keep half of all proceeds raised.
