Cork Weekly Report

Our inter – county pre season training continues at U16 and Minor Grades this Saturday February 6th with the U16s attending their 3rd of three pre season training sessions & the minors attending their second of three. The U14’s panel has now been selected & training for this panel continues as usual.

New Senior Captain

Cork Ladies Football Board wish to announce the Rena Buckley , Donoughmore has been selected as the Cork Senior Captain for 2010 . Rena is also well known for her expertise with Cork Camogie so we wish her every success in this very busy season ahead for her.

Bord Gáis Energy National League

Spring is here – which means the commencement of another busy season for of involved with Ladies Football. The Bord Gais Energy National league commences this weekend and what a mouth watering opener in store. On Sunday February 7th in Fermoy at 2pm Cork welcome All Ireland opponents Dublin where I am sure some top quality ladies football awaits all supporters who attend this match. So don’t forget Fermoy 2pm Sunday for All Ireland final 2009 – take two.

Club Secretaries & Club Pros Meeting

On Thursday February 4th at the Castle Hotel Macroom , Cork Secretary Gobnait Ní Laoí & Cork PRO Sharon O Keeffe , have invited every club secretary & club Pro to attend an information meeting which is hoped will benefit the clubs in their 2010 administration.
