Dublin Ladies Announce 2012 Managers

At last night’s Co. Board Meeting in Parnell Park all Inter County Manager’s and their management teams were fully ratified.  Chairperson, Maureen King stated that the County Executive Committee were keen to ensure that all management teams were in place early to ensure the maximum opportunity is afforded to prepare for the 2012 season.

King wishes each team the very best of luck in their campaigns next year and believes that Dublin is on the verge of a breakthrough at all levels of county football having reached 4 out of 5 All-Ireland Finals in the 2011 season.

The senior management post goes to Peter Clarke who has a proven track record in success having brought DCU to 3 back to back O’Connor Cup titles and Monaghan Senior Ladies to an All-Ireland final this year.

Peter comes with a very strong management team which includes former Dublin star Angie McNally who provides a link between the management team from last year and who has previously worked with Clarke both at Inter County and College levels.  Both McNally and Clarke were part of the Dublin Senior B management team which led Dublin to All-Ireland success in 2010.

Outgoing Managers Pat Stritch (Senior B), Fintan O’Curry (Minor) and Fearghall Brennan (U16) were reappointed for a second term with all three having reached All Ireland finals in 2011 with their respective panels.

Former Dublin and St Vincent’s senior footballer Terry Jennings has been appointed Dublin U14 Manager, Jennings who is now a coach with Kilmacud Crokes ladies brings a wealth of experience to this key position. Jennings is also currently working with the Dublin U13 Development Squads
