Dunmore Ladies celebrates 2003 successes

Galway’s Dunmore Ladies celebrates 2003 successes

Last Sunday evening Dunmore’s very successful lady footballers
were presented with their County and Connacht medals
at a presentation ceremony and dinner in Dunmore Community
School. The medals were presented by officers of Galway
County Ladies Football Board, the Connacht Council and
Galway team managers to the County under 12 Champions,
Under 14 A League Champions, Junior A League & Championship
winners and Connacht Junior Champions and to the Under
16 (runners up) all under the leadership of Ollie Turner,
master of ceremonies.

There was an impressive display of cups and plaques
on show testifying to a very successful year. Eighty-six
girls received their medals. After the presentations,
the players were treated to a beautiful meal provided
by the catering staff of the school canteen.

The club is very grateful to all who helped to make
the presentation and dinner a great success.

The AGM of Dunmore MacHales Ladies takes place on Thursday
night, the 22nd January at 8.00 in the Enterprise Centre.
It is hoped for a well-attended meeting. Last year Dunmore
spent over 17,000 Euro in running the ladies football Club.

Come along to the AGM and hear an account of our various
activities. Involvement of the parents is very important
to the club.

Best wishes to Geraldine Conneally on Friday night, when
she is honoured as the Galway lady footballer of the year
at the Connacht Tribune, Tuam Herald, T.na G. sports dinner
