Explainer: Here's how the 2019 All-Ireland Ladies Senior Football Championship will work

The groupings for the 2019 TG4 All-Ireland Senior Championship are now complete, with 12 counties in the race to claim the Brendan Martin Cup at Croke Park on September 15.

The provincial finals have been decided, with Galway, Dublin, Cork and Donegal ruling the roost in Connacht, Leinster, Munster and Ulster respectively.

The All-Ireland series will have four groups, each containing three teams, with the top two in each group progressing to the quarter-finals.

The action gets underway next Saturday, July 13.
