2024 TG4 All-Ireland Finals tickets

Fermanagh's Eimear Smyth the player to catch in race for 2024 ZuCar Golden Boot award!

FERMANAGH ace Eimear Smyth remains the player to catch in the race for the ZuCar Golden Boot award.

The Derrygonnelly Harps sharpshooter is currently on 6-31 (49 points) and that’s 23 points clear of her nearest challenger, Wicklow’s Niamh Caffrey, whose interest in the 2024 Championship is now at an end following last Sunday’s Intermediate Championship relegation play-off victory over Antrim.

Smyth has the chance to further extend her advantage next Sunday when Fermanagh meet Limerick in the TG4 All-Ireland Junior Championship semi-final – and she could also have a Croke Park Final outing on Sunday August 4 to look forward to.

Players from Galway, Roscommon, Leitrim and Dublin also occupy places in the current top 6.

In that top 6, just Smyth, Galway’s Olivia Divilly and Leitrim’s Michelle Guckian still retain a live interest in the 2024 TG4 All-Ireland Championships.

Divilly is looking forward to a Senior Championship semi-final meeting with Cork on Saturday July 20, while Guckian and her team-mates will pit their wits against Wexford in next Sunday’s Intermediate semi-final.

The 2024 ZuCar Golden Boot will be awarded to the highest scorer across the three grades (Senior/Intermediate/Junior) of the TG4 All-Ireland Championship series.

Top 6
Eimear Smyth (Fermanagh) 6-31 (49)
Niamh Caffrey (Wicklow) 1-23 (26)
Olivia Divilly (Galway) 3-14 (23)
Aisling Hanly (Roscommon) 5-7 (22)
Michelle Guckian (Leitrim) 1-17 (20)
Carla Rowe (Dublin) 4-8 (20)
