FUNdamentals to take Place in Tipperary

There will be an LGFA FUNdamentals Coaching Course taking place this Saturday 7^th November in Moyle Rovers in Tipperary. This is an excellent opportunity to get your coaching qualifications for the upcoming season. Please see course details below:

What is the FUNdamental’s Course?

 

This is the first course on the Coaching Ladder.   FUNdamentals is a foundation level course designed as an introduction to good coaching, no matter what age group you are starting to coach with.  It  is a fun, dynamic and informative course designed by coaches for coaches.

Coaches will gain some insights into the theoretical underpinnings of successful coaching as well as having the opportunity to coach and learn in a safe environment.

 

Coaches will look at:

 

• Importance of creating a positive environment for our players
• Planning and implementing training programmes
• Introduction to the player pathway
• Create an awareness about making sessions more inclusive
• Importance of Fundamental Movement Skills & Injury Prevention

Coaches will look at issues such as planning and implementing training programmes as well as practical coaching and an introduction into the player pathway.

These units will provide a good basis for further development for those already coaching or those who are keen to get involved.

 

Requirements

All participants must be 16 years or older.
