Here's your chance to become an LGFA Coach Developer or Referee Tutor

PERSONNEL involved in Coach and Referee Education are amongst the most important people in our sport.

They take on the responsibility of educating our coaches and referees to enable them to go out train or officiate players at levels.

Now is your chance to become one of these vital Coach Developers/Referee Tutors and play your part in helping to improve standards on and off the pitch.

The LGFA are offering opportunity to become a Coach Developer or Referee Tutor.

  1. All selected tutors will be required to pay €300 towards the total cost of the tutor training programme. This payment must be made in full prior to commencing the training programme. Payments can be made by cheque or directly into the LGFA account.  Please note: a Developer/Tutor will receive refund of  €150 upon completion of full training outlined below AND delivery of required courses
  2. Details in relation to the training are as follows:
  3. Days: Training will be delivered on a weekend basis over 5 Weekends. Please note, attendance at same is mandatory!
  • Dates are as follows13th/ 14th Oct 2018, 10th /11th Nov 2018, 19th/20th Jan 2019
  1. Times: The three weekends will run from Sat to Sun commencing at 9am to 6pm
  2. Venue: Marino College, Dublin
  3. Accommodation: Will be supplied and organised for the trainee tutor by LGFA if required.
  4. Who will be delivering the course: Yvonne Byrne of Coaching Ireland will be delivering the training weekends
  5. What qualification will you receive: All participants will become Coaching Ireland Qualified Developers/Tutors for either Coach or Referee Education. This is a European recognised qualification and is applicable to all sports.
  6. Trainee Tutors must observe a full delivery of required courses for their area between week 3 and week 5.
  7. The trainee tutor will be put on the developer/tutor email list and will receive the course schedule on a regular basis from the development support administrator. It would be the responsibility of the trainee developer/tutor to inform the development support administrator of the course they would like to attend during the above timeframe
  8. Please note coach developers/referee tutors cannot organise their own courses. All courses are booked directly through LGFA office.
