Gaelic4girls, which is the nationwide programme offered by the Ladies Gaelic Football Association to girls aged between 8 and 12, is closing the application process this Friday 13th February for the 2015 programme. This is the perfect opportunity for clubs that have been struggling with player numbers to attract vital new members to help secure their future. Established clubs that can prove that there are enough potential players in their area are also invited to attend as are new clubs that have the appropriate structures in place. The Gaelic4Girls programme offers clubs the opportunity to increase the numbers of players playing in their club. Players that might never have played the game before will have the chance to take part in the sport in a safe environment and evenutally they can be integrated with the existing players in the club. As an extra incentive, the clubs that do take part will also be in with a chance of playing in Croke Park at the National Blitz day in July. Participating clubs will receive free training for their coaches and co-ordinators and they will receive marketing and advertising resources to ensure that they appeal to the maximum amount of players possible.
