TG4 provincial championships round-up Compiled by John Fallon The stage is now set for the three remaining TG4 provincial finals with Kildare set to play in their first Leinster SFC decider since 2009 against reigning champions Dublin in Croke Park next Sunday. Kildare were not in action this weekend but Dublin’s 1-11 to 0-5 win over Meath was enough to guarantee a place in the final for the Lilywhites by virtue of their 0-12 to 0-8 win over Meath earlier in the round robin series. Dublin, chasing a 13th successive Leinster senior title, had a goal from Caoimhe O’Connor and four points from Jodi Egan on their way to victory at Parnell Park. Waterford are back in the Munster final thanks to a 0-12 to 0-8 win over Tipperary and they will hope to avenge last year’s final defeat to Kerry this time round. Kellyann Hogan scored 0-5 for Waterford who were without captain Emma Murray who has moved to Australia to join Geelong Cats. Kerry produced a superb second half display against the wind to beat Cork by 1-16 to 0-8, with Siofra O’Shea striking 1-3 and Niamh Ní Chonchúir 0-3. Tyrone had the bragging rights over Armagh by 1-10 to 0-8 in a dress rehearsal for the TG4 Ulster senior final, with Maeve Maxwell getting the goal.
