LGFA getting ready for an exciting summer with launch of the 2012 TG4 Championships

For Ladies Footballers from all over the County and even from London, this morning was all about looking forward.

At the official launch of the TG4 Ladies Gaelic Football Championships player from each of the three grades were questioned about their hopes for the next three months.

All were positive, eyeing up rivals, keeping their heads down and smiling for the cameras.

Under the smiles however steely determination was bubbling as Provincial Finals and Championship Showdowns loom large.

Sunday the 15th will see 3 Senior Provincial Finals taking place. In Ulster Monaghan play Donegal, In Leinster Dublin play Meath and down South it’s Cork v Kerry.

Also announced today in Croke Park was TG4s extension of it’s sponsorship of Ladies Gaelic Football Championships for a further three years. And for those of you not lucky enough to make it to Croke Park on Ladies All Ireland Finals Day on the 30th of September  you will be able to enjoy top quality viewing as TG4 will broadcast for the first time ever in High Definition.

The Round 1 Qualifier draw also took place in Croke Park today. It’s a Leinster Derby as Laois and Kildare will meet on the 6th of August (Live on TG4) in Round 1 of the TG4 Senior Championship Qualifiers.
