National Conference on Sport Aiding Mental Health

 

May is the Month of Mental Health Awareness and Mayor of Donegal Cllr. Frank McBrearty Jnr is hosting the National Conference on Sport Aiding Mental-Health (SAM).

 

This conference will be chaired by well known RTE presenter Miriam O’Callaghan and includes a list of special guest speakers including Minister for State Kathleen Lynch TD and Jim McGuinness.  There will be a number of discussions with expert panelists including Dr. Tony Bates founding Director of Headstrong the National Centre for Youth Mental Health, Charlie McHugh, well known Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist along with a number of sports personalities including Patsy McGonagle, Anne-Marie McDaid, Myles Sweeney and Anne-Marie Ward.  The conference will also include exhibitions and stands from numerous groups and organisations that are providing services and supports throughout the country.

in Finn Suite, Jacksons Hotel, Ballybofey, Co. Donegal
