TG4 All-Ireland championships round-up By JOHN FALLON The race for the TG4 All-Ireland championships got under way at the weekend with games in the intermediate and junior grades. Leitrim, relegated last year, got their intermediate campaign off to a flying start with a 2-16 to 1-5 win over Wicklow, while Cavan, who will play in Division 1 of the Lidl League next season, opened with a 0-16 to 2-7 triumph over Roscommon. Clare backed up their Munster senior B title with a 4-12 to 2-12 win over Wexford while Westmeath were impressive in a 3-9 to 0-4 win over Monaghan. In the TG4 All-Ireland junior championship, there were wins for Longford, Antrim, Sligo and Carlow. Meanwhile, at U14 level, Cork retained the All-Ireland Platinum crown when they defeated Armagh by 4-8 to 2-11, while Kerry captured the Gold title with a 1-8 to 1-5 win over Down. Derry won the Silver title when they defeated Donegal by 3-7 to 1-10, while in another all-Ulster decider, Antrim captured the Bronze crown with a 2-9 to 2-7 triumph over Cavan.
