PREVIEWS: 5 Lidl NFL games on Sunday, including top flight clash between Armagh and Cork

ARMAGH and Cork go head to head on Sunday in Division 1 of the Lidl National League.

The two sides were due to meet last Sunday but their game was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch in Dromintee.

Their rescheduled tie will be streamed live, while there are four fixtures in Division 4 on Sunday.

In the fourth tier, pace-setters Carlow and Leitrim will both aim to preserve 100 per cent records.

Sunday February 15

Lidl NFL Division 1

Armagh v Cork; St Patrick’s, St Oliver Plunkett Park, Crossmaglen, 1pm – Live Stream

After losing to Waterford on the opening day, last year’s finalists Armagh got off the mark in Round 2 with victory over Kildare.

Now, in this rearranged fixture, the Orchard County face a home tie with Cork, who earned a gritty one-point victory over Galway last time out.

That was a big win for the Leesiders, who remain unbeaten after an opening day draw with Kildare.

Armagh make one change ahead of Cork’s visit, with Roisin Mulligan coming in for Laura Kavanagh.

As Cork prepare for the long trip north, they’ve made two changes in personnel from the Galway game.

Sarah Murphy takes over from Caoimhe Richmond in goal, as Shauna Kelly replaces Katie Horgan, who went off injured in the Galway game.

This game was rained off last weekend but now both teams are ready for a Crossmaglen encounter.

Lidl NFL Division 4

Kilkenny v Leitrim; MW Hire Training Centre, Dunmore, 2pm

Leitrim are flying high alongside Carlow at the top of the table.

Both sides are on maximum points – with Carlow leading the standings on scoring difference.

Kilkenny, in contrast, have lost all three games to date and this could be a tough outing for the hosts.

Leitrim lost out at the semi-final stage in 2025, a defeat that cost them promotion, and they look like a team on a mission this time.

Longford v Sligo; Glennon Brothers Pearse Park, Longford, 2pm

A crucial game in the race for a top-four finish – and a place in the semi-finals.

A win for hosts Longford would put the Midlanders in a very good position, as they already have six points on the board to date.

Sligo have one win from three outings but a victory on their travels would put them right back in the hunt.

Sligo will be anxious to get back on track after losing out to Connacht rivals Leitrim in their previous game.

Offaly v Carlow; Offaly GAA Centre of Excellence, Faithful Fields, Kilcormac, 2pm

An intriguing Leinster derby in store here. Carlow have shown excellent form to date in winning all three games but Offaly are in the promotion mix too.

The Faithful County’s only loss to date was a three-point reverse to Leitrim – a game sandwiched between victories over Wicklow and Kilkenny.

With Carlow on nine points and Offaly on six, the winner of this one will take huge encouragement into the remaining three rounds of group fixtures.

Carlow’s defensive solidity has been a hallmark to date. The Barrowsiders are conceding an average of just over six points per game in 2026.

Wicklow are struggling this year and yet to get off the mark.

The Garden County didn’t raise a green flag in defeats to Offaly and Longford in their opening two games but they rattled the Carlow net three times in their last outing and that will have provided some belief that better times are coming.

Derry’s opening game was a win over Kilkenny but they’ve since lost to Sligo and Longford.

This one offers both sides the chance to build some confidence.
