The TG4 All-Ireland Finals are fast approaching and clubs travel annually from across Ireland to the biggest day in the LGFA calendar. To add to this memorable experience on 3rd August we are facilitating ‘Road to the Finals’ Festivals across Dublin. We are offering Dublin clubs the opportunity to host a fun ‘Road to the Finals Festival’ for clubs outside of the county to add even more memories of this great day. Please note these will be the only activity permitted and hosts can only be in Dublin. What will the Festivals entail? Every Dublin club can host a maximum of 3 other clubs and they must be from outside Dublin The Festival must be finished by 1.00pm with sample structure included in the attached Clubs from counties involved in the TG4 Junior Finals must be finished by 11.30am to allow travel time to Croke Park The age grades permitted are Go Games (Under 7 to Under 12), Under 13 through to Under 18 and Gaelic4Mothers&Others Clubs may apply to participate in a maximum of two grades on the day (e.g. G4M&O and U-10) All games must be non-competitive with no tournaments or trophies permitted What clubs can participate? Only clubs attending the TG4 All-Ireland Finals, with evidence of group tickets purchased from LGFA, will be permitted to participate in the ‘Road to the Finals Festivals’. (Please note forms can only be accessed by user with official @lgfa.ie email – your club secretary) Host clubs can get involved in two ways: Complete form link HERE if you would like to request permission to host and you have already identified your maximum 3 clubs to host Complete form link HERE if you would like to request permission to host and would like assistance from LGFA to assign travelling clubs to your venue Travelling clubs outside of Dublin can get involved in two ways: Your host club may have already links with you so you need to request permission to participate in their Festival by completing the form HERE Complete form link HERE if you would like to participate in a Festival and would like assistance from LGFA to assign you to a host club in Dublin Places in a Festival will be subject to availability of hosts and travelling clubs. What are the benefits for clubs? Hosts and Travelling Clubs Build an exciting atmosphere in the run up to the TG4 All-Ireland Finals Opportunity to play a variety of clubs from across the country Following confirmation that their club tickets were used and they participated in the Festival the club will be entered in a draw with one host club and one travelling club receiving €1,000 Host Clubs will also receive: €150 Lidl voucher to assist with refreshments 20 tickets for the finals in Croke Park Will the host club need to submit any further details? There will be a short checklist for the club to submit just to ensure they have the required facilities, volunteers and referees What is the closing date to apply?
