Sligo Notes 08.07.2013

Calling all SLIGO SUPPORTERS!!! Sligo Ladies are in the Connacht Intermediate Final against Roscommon on Sunday 14th July with kick off at 2pm in Tuam Stadium.  St. Nathys U12 team is selected to play at the half time interval in the games.  We urge all members, their friends and families to support the team and help them to victory.  The team consists of players from the majority of clubs around the county.  Best of luck to the Team and Management.

Development/Coaching Sessions are being planned for U13 & U15 players within the County for July & August.  Each CLUB is asked to forward at least 3 names for each group that might benefit from these sessions.  Please Forward Names and Contact numbers at your earliest convenience to:   Tracy O’Kennedy on 087 4110568 (U13 ONLY) & Sean Kilgannon on 0862617193 (U15 ONLY).

St. Nathys host the next U10 Blitz in Bunninadden on Saturday 27th July.  Team registration at 10am and games start at 10.30am.  If your club wishes to enter a team or teams please reply to any of the following as soon as possible, Louise O’Donnell (via email Sligoladiespro@gmail.com or 0876356679) or any of your club development officers.

The County U14 League Finals took place in Calry on Wednesday 3rd July.  The A Final was awarded to Drumcliff who defeated Eastern Harps while St. Marys were victorious over St. Molaise Gaels in the B Final.  Sligo Ladies Football also made history with a father and son partnership refereeing on the night.  Congratulations to all teams involved and to referees Liam & Eoin McDonagh.

The County Board meeting scheduled for August has been postponed to account for summer holidays therefore the next meeting will take place on Monday 9th September at 8.30pm.  All clubs are asked to send their required number of delegates.
